Send in your nominations for Learning and Work Institute’s Inspire! Adult Learning Awards.

The closing date has been extended to 22 March 2021

Do you know an inspirational learner or family? You may be in the workplace and developing opportunities to train and progress. Are you making an impact within local communities and opening access to learning and skills? We want to hear from you.

The Awards are a curtain raiser to Adult Learners’ Week, which is now in its 30th year in Wales and a major promotion and celebration of lifelong learning.

Lifelong learning is needed now more than ever as we start to recover from the pandemic. We are all in need of good news stories, and despite the challenges please do all you can to think about making nominations and sharing the stories of your amazing learners.

We want to celebrate and share your stories.
L&W are looking for people, projects and organisations whose learning achievements demonstrate outstanding passion, commitment and drive to change their stories and inspire others in the following categories:

Individual and Family awards

  • Into Work
  • Young Adult
  • Life Change & Progression
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Ageing Well
  • Starting Out – Welsh beginner
  • Different Past: Shared Futures
  • Family Learning
  • Essential Skills for Life (NEW)

Project and Organisation awards

  • Community Impact Project
  • Skills at Work

How to submit your nomination
If you are submitting a nomination – please read through our guidance and categories document to ensure that you fully meet the criteria before you complete your nomination.

Email your completed word document form to inspire@learningandwork.org.uk

We are all in need of good news stories, and despite the challenges please do all you can to think about making nominations and sharing the stories of your amazing learners.

Download a copy of the Inspire! Awards flyer and please share the nominations with your networks to encourage others to recognise and highlight the inspirational stories of people, projects, and organisations in Wales.

Promoting the awards:
Help us raise awareness of the Inspire! Awards on social media.
Use the awards hashtag: #InspireCymru21 and mention us on the handle @LearnWorkCymru on Twitter. We are also on the following social platforms Facebook and Instagram.

Campaign dates for your diary:

Adult Learners’ Week will take place 20 – 26 September with promotion taking place across the month of September.

Lifelong learning is needed more than ever as we recover and we will need more people across Wales to be inspired to engage in their communities, develop skills for new ways of working and to protect their health and wellbeing.
