Inspired to Inspire – Building a culture of learner engagement

  • What do the best teachers do every lesson, every day to build an outstanding learning climate?
  • What do the most effective trainers do to manage the most difficult behaviour brilliantly?

These are just two of the questions that we will be exploring at an exciting forthcoming staff development day organised by NTfW.

The course is aimed at trainers who deliver work-based learning, tutors of Further Education colleges and teachers of secondary schools.

Paul Dix from Pivotal Education will be leading the day through a half day workshop of dynamic delivery and activities with highly effective strategies for engaging the ‘hard to engage’ learners.

Paul’s workshop will include:

  • Innovative teaching
  • Highly Effective behaviour management
  • Practical steps to build a culture of engagement
  • Question & Answer session with Paul

After lunch there will be an opportunity to discuss main points from the morning and how these strategies can be incorporated into your own organisation’s delivery. The day will be a mixture of input, practical sessions and time for review and evaluation.
