A dynamic Cardiff-based company, which has brought a fresh approach to the training sector in South Wales, is planning to create five new jobs early in the new year as it expands its business services.

Fix Training Ltd formed in November 2008, specialises in improving business skills, developing people and providing bespoke organisational solutions by utilising a perfect blend of technology, real world experience and good business sense.

The company, based in Cardiff Bay, currently employs a team of eight with directors Helen Jones and Jacqui Niven at the helm. Both directors have many years of experience working with a range of businesses, from SMEs to multi national organisations. They believe that businesses find success through the skills and attitude of their people.

The business has a team of consultants and assessors specialising in business wide solutions including leadership and management, sales, apprenticeships and essential skills.

“We are delighted that the company has grown organically well ahead of our business plan from client referrals and recommendations,” said Helen. “We are going to employ another five staff early in the new year as we launch new category of business services in response to demand from our wide client base.

“We are working with clients ranging from micro businesses in South Wales to multi-national companies across the UK and the voluntary and public sectors.

“Our core values are impact and quality in terms of making people and businesses more effective.”

Fix Training Ltd is one of only five providers of leadership and management training programmes for the Welsh Government in South East Wales and manages a consortium to deliver bespoke basic skills programmes in the workplace throughout South Wales.

The company has devised the TRUE Leaders Programme for senior managers, directors and managers, or those aspiring for senior positions within companies. The unique programme, based on a blended learning format, leads to three Institute of Leadership and Management qualifications at level seven.

The company has also secured a contract to deliver the Women at Work programme to support career development of women in the energy and utility sector.

In addition, a specialist team is working in partnership with Torfaen Training to deliver work based learning apprenticeships to hundreds of learners employed in education across South Wales.

“Our business background enables us to go in to companies at board level, listen and understand the needs of senior managers,” said Jacqui. “We aim to make a real difference by ensuring that all the training we deliver has a measured impact and benefits the bottom line.

The company has signed the Employer Pledge and has achieved the Investors in People Leadership Management Model, Green Dragon and Workplace Health Awards. It is also an accredited centre for the Institute of Leadership and Management, Britsafe and Edexcel.
