NTfW Annual Conference – 28 June 2018
The conference allowed delegates the opportunity to hear from predominant keynote speakers and attend workshops. The event is also seen as a prime opportunity of networking with individuals and companies across the training sector within Wales.

At SkillsCymru young people and students can get involved with interactive features, hands-on demonstrations and challenging activities to learn about the huge range of careers, training and advice available in Wales, catch a glimpse into what their future career could hold and realise their potential.
Apprenticeship Awards Cymru – 9 November 2018
The Apprenticeship Awards Cymru aim to recognise and celebrate employers, learners and providers who commit to developing their workforce through Apprenticeships and supporting their employees during their training. The awards are also a great way to evaluate training and development, as well as a fantastic motivational factor for any workforce or learner.
WorldSkills UK Live (formerly The Skills Show – 15-17 November 2018
WorldSkills UK Live is the nation’s largest skills and careers event and helps to shape the future of a new generation. Attracting over 75,000 visitors annually, the show provides hands-on experiences that inspire young people to explore careers and motivates them to find out more about the world of work.
VQ day celebrates vocational achievement and the benefits of practical, technical and vocational learning. We believe that vocational qualifications deserve the same accolades and level of recognition that academic qualifications receive. There are GCSE and A-Level results days so why not a day to celebrate VQs? Hence VQ Day!
Policy Solutions Series Report
Learning and Work Institute, ColegauCymru and the National Federation for Wales (NTfW) have delivered a series of Policy Solutions seminars, exploring some of the big challenges and opportunities for education and training in the next 5-10 years The report launched by the Minister for Skills and Science Julie James AM concludes the discussions, energetic debate and principal findings, and identifies key priorities for action from all five Policy Solutions seminars held over the summer of 2016.
