Exciting New Developments in Post-16 Welsh-medium and Bilingual Education

A New Strategy
The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol has recently launched its Strategy entitled ‘Towards Cymraeg 2050: A million Welsh Speakers – Further Education and Apprenticeship Welsh-medium Action Plan’. The vision of this strategy is to enable ALL learners to maintain or develop their Welsh language skills; and to achieve this, actions are in place to develop 6 key areas: Learners; Staff; Provision; Resources; Qualifications; and Employers.

This five to ten year action plan is bold and ambitious; where NTfW is pleased to announce that it has been named within the action plan for the duration, which aims to positively work towards a coherent and cohesive post-16 education sector that collaborates and shares knowledge, resources, and looks to develop its staff and provision in unison.
