Nominations open for the Inspire! Adult Learning Awards: Showcase the power of learning

Do you know an inspirational adult learner whose story of personal growth deserves to be shared? Or a community project that is breaking down barriers and creating new pathways to success?
The annual awards, coordinated by Learning and Work Institute (L&W) in partnership with the Welsh Government celebrate the transformative power of lifelong learning across Wales, showcasing why investing in life-changing opportunities is more vital than ever.
L&W welcomes nominations that highlight outstanding individuals and community projects exemplifying passion, commitment, and a drive to improve their own lives and the lives of others through education. Whether representing a personal journey or a collective effort, these awards raise awareness and celebrate the stories that define the spirit of lifelong learning in Wales.
Award categories
The ten categories represent the wide variety of skills and achievements celebrated by the awards:
- Skills for Work Award
- Young Adult Learner Award
- Life Change Award
- Essential Skills for Life Award
- Learning for Better Health Award
- Ageing Well Award
- New Welsh Speaker Award
- Shared Futures Award
- Hywel Francis Award for Community Impact
- Learner Voice Award
