Join Learning and Work Institute’s Adult Learners’ Week campaign partnership this September
Adult Learners’ Week is an annual campaign that presents a special opportunity for people to embrace a second chance at education and work, whilst showcasing the powerful impact of lifelong learning in Wales. Each year the campaign inspires thousands of people to attend special events, sign up to courses and seek advice and guidance on the opportunities available for them to upskill, improve confidence and wellbeing, discover new hobbies, and make new connections.
The campaign also celebrates the wonderful achievements of people, projects and organisations in Wales championing and participating in a wide range of learning and skills.
L&W welcome organisations across multiple sectors to plan and deliver focussed activity for the campaign week (9-15 September) and throughout September. Examples of activities include, online and in-person taster sessions, short courses, open days, resources, information and advice, and special events to demonstrate that it’s never too late to learn.
The Adult Learners’ Week platform has been designed to host online and in person learning content to connect people to local provision across Wales and beyond. Last year, the platform hosted over 600 listings from a range of organisations including, The Open University in Wales, Museum Wales, Reaching Wider, UNISON, Cardiff Volunteer Centre, Adult Community Learning providers, Wales TUC, Football Association of Wales, and others.
Become a campaign partner; work with L&W to make lifelong learning more accessible and visible to adults across Wales.
Your contribution to the campaign will help to further amplify the impact and profile of adult learning in Wales, enabling more people to develop the confidence to seek new opportunities.
