The National Training Federation Wales (NTfW) are currently working on the following projects:

Bilingual Champion

The Work-based Learning (WBL) Bilingual Champion Project is currently in its second term of funding from Welsh Government to support the WBL training providers in Wales to achieve as set out in the Welsh Medium Education Strategy in April 2010; and to support the ‘A Living Language: A Language for Living’ Welsh Language Strategy 2012-2017. The current contract runs to 31 July 2017.Read more »

Equality and Diversity Champion

The Work-based Learning (WBL) Equality and Diversity Champion role was established in May 2016 with two year funding from Welsh Government to provide the WBL provider network with a supportive structure to help increase the take up of Apprentices by individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities and disabled people. Quality, Head of Work-based Learning Quality

The Head of Work-based Learning (WBL) Quality role was established in May 2016 with responsibility for leading and coordinating quality improvement across the WBL sector in Wales. Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW)

The National Training Federation for Wales (NTfW)’s CQFW Project aimed to identify the impact and requirements of Work-based Learning Providers, to successfully implement the introduction of the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).

It was recognised that NTfW members had to be aware of the impact and requirements to address the implications of CQFW on all existing arrangements for the delivery and management of funded outcomes. NTfW was given funding by the Welsh Assembly Government to “develop and implement an action plan to implement CQFW within the training provider sector in Wales”. Read more »

Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship (ESDGC)

The National Training Federation for Wales (NTfW) received funding from the Welsh Government to deliver workshops which were aimed at assessors and tutors wishing to find out ideas and activities which helped them integrate ESDGC into their qualifications.

Essential Skills for the Workplace

The National Training Federation for Wales (NTfW) has been successful in securing a substantial contract with the Welsh Government to deliver the Essential Skills in the Workplace (ESiW) Programme across Wales. NTfW’s ESiW Programme is delivered through a network of 10 quality assured Work-based Learning Providers, all of which have considerable experience in delivering training within the workplace.
