There are exciting developments ahead for apprenticeships, and it is therefore important that we at Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol work closely with Welsh Government, apprenticeship providers and employers to ensure that we support the expected growth and increasing capacity in Welsh medium and bilingual apprenticeships.

One exciting project we have in the pipeline is the development of an interactive digital resource. The resource aims to guide employers who are supporting apprentices throughout the apprenticeship journey, from recruitment to completion, and along the Welsh language skills continuum. We know that good practice exists, this resource is designed to pull all of this good practice together.

The resource will be innovative and appealing, easy to find and easy to use. The aim is to ensure that the content leads to raising employers’ confidence as they support apprentices regardless of the apprentice’s Welsh level, and to make the process as easy as possible. You can expect a wealth of information in a range of creative formats, including videos and micro-videos along with more hands-on material.

The resource is currently in the final stages of development and we look forward to sharing the resource with you in summer 2025.
