Join Learning and Work Institute (L&W) for their annual Employment and Skills Wales Convention on 13th November 2024 in Cardiff City Stadium.

Sponsored by City & Guilds and supported by Serco and The National Infrastructure Commission for Wales, this event will bring together policy makers, practitioners, and leaders across the sector in Wales to help share the latest thinking, research and developments and to influence future policy.

Discover how global trends like the shift to a low-carbon economy, the rise of AI and automation, and an ageing workforce are impacting Wales’ employment landscape. Join L&W to explore strategies for ensuring Wales’ workforce remains competitive and resilient in these times of transformation.

The Convention will focus on a range of topics, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence – opportunity or threat
  • Net Zero – what it means for employment and skills
  • The devolution of employment support policy to Wales
  • Skills for Wales’ Future

This year’s speakers include Simon Pirotte, Chief Executive, Medr, Shavannah Taj, General Secretary Wales TUC, Professor Calvin Jones, Cardiff University, Stephen Evans, Chief Executive, Learning and Work Institute.

Join L&W for a series of informative workshops to explore key topics:
