Learning and Work Cymru welcome nominations for the Inspire! Adult Learning Awards and the Inspire! Tutor Awards. The annual awards are organised by Learning and Work Institute in partnership with Welsh Government and other partners.

Inspire! Tutor Awards 2021

Behind successful adult learners there are inspirational mentors and tutors.

The Tutor awards are a celebration of the impact that tutors have in supporting adult learners to achieve their potential and transform their lives. These challenging times have accelerated the pace at which many learning providers have moved to create new ways of learning – through more digital and blended approaches. It has highlighted the resilience, talent, and commitment of the adult learning workforce across Wales.

Learning and Work Cymru are looking for outstanding tutors and mentors in Wales whose commitment, knowledge and skills have given adult learners the encouragement to pursue their goals and dreams and the confidence to transform their lives.

Tutors and mentors will be active in the following sectors or settings:

  • Higher Education
  • Further Education
  • Workplace Setting
  • Community Education
  • Welsh for Adults
  • School or other setting

A special award will also be made to recognise the response that the adult learning sector has made to support individuals and communities in response to the pandemic.

Nominations for the Inspire! Tutor Awards must be submitted by the closing date of 8 January 2021.

Inspire! Adult Learning Awards 2021

Nominate individuals, families, projects and organisations whose learning achievements will inspire others to return to or take up learning – people who have improved their lives and /or the lives of others and gained a positive or life changing experience from adult learning.

  • Skills at Work

Nominations for the Inspire! Adult Learning Awards must be submitted by the closing date of 19 February 2021.

Be part of the celebration and share your stories for the awards by submitting an entry – any nomination submitted for the awards should be a catalyst for celebration adult learning.
