Cymraeg Strategy 2025-30
In August, we launched our new Cymraeg Strategy 2025–2030 at the National Eisteddfod in Wrexham marking a significant milestone in our commitment to embedding Cymraeg and bilingualism at the core of the qualifications system.

It builds on the foundations laid by the previous Dewis i Bawb / Choice for All strategy and reflects the organisation’s evolving role as a regulator and reformer of qualifications in a bilingual nation.

Essential Skills Wales qualification reform
Following our discussions in July with a range of providers on the content of level 1 and level 2 Essential Skills Wales qualifications in Communication, Application of Number, and Digital Literacy, we are now hosting online meetings in September to gather views on the assessment of these reformed qualifications.
These discussions will help shape the upcoming consultation which is scheduled for publication in November. For further information please contact essentialskillswales@qualifications.wales
