EWC Code of Professional Conduct and Practice

Important news for Education Workforce Council (EWC) registrants. The Code has been updated to reflect new registration categories.

The Code sets out the standards expected of EWC registrants and is intended to support and guide their behaviours and judgements.

Professional standards for FE and WBL leaders
Following our update in the previous newsletter, the EWC have now expanded the framework to include standards aimed at both promoting the professionalism of FE and WBL leaders in the sector, and providing a framework for continuing professional learning through self-reflection and collaboration.

EWC response to Welsh Government changes on registration rules
The EWC has published its response to a Welsh Government consultation which proposes adding two new categories to the list of those required to register with them: senior managers and principals working in further education (FE) institutions, and practitioners of community-based adult learning.
